Ancient Canal :
The Grand Canal was built in 486 BC, including the Sui and Tang Dynasties Grand Canal, Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and East Zhejiang Grand Canal. It has a total length of 2,700 kilometers, spans more than 10 latitudes of the earth, and crosses Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, The 8 provinces and municipalities of Anhui, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang run through the Great North China Plain and reach the five major water systems of the Haihe, Yellow, Huaihe, Yangtze and Qiantang Rivers. They are the main arteries of north-south communications in ancient China. The history of the Grand Canal has lasted for more than 2500 years.
